Marshmallows and dead dinosaurs

On the 19th of April I went to Te papa with my family we saw some dinosaurs. Two Velociraptors and a Pteradactyl that James keeps telling me is not a dinosaur its confusing. I have not seen them in the awsome forces place before im not sure why they were there but they were cool!!!

On the 27th of April Ellen Quin came over we spent most of the night watching scary movies and eating melted marshmallows. Our faces were covered in the melted marshmallow mine was especially they tasted good though.

Kakapo at Wellington Zoo

On Saturday 24th of April I went to the Wellington Zoo with Hannah and her mum Mary Ann.
During the day they have sessions where you can see people feeding the animals and they give a lecture where you can go along and find out information about an animal.

We went to a feeding time where they were feeding a sick Kakapo that had been rescued from Codfish Island. The Kakapo is the worlds heaviest parrot. They were telling us about how the Kakapo is in danger of being extinct. There is just over 100 kakapo left in the world. They told us about their website thay have to help save the kakapo www.kakaporecovery.org.nz where we can find more information about the bird. I found the talk interesting because I didn't realise how endangered the Kakapo is.

On Saturday the 16th, my brother Xavier played a game of rugby at Wellington College. I wish I didnt go because it was so rainy and muddy and I got soaked. His team played really well and they won 66-O.

KAKAPO HOMEWORK TERM HOLIDAYS

Kia Ora Tatou,
I hope some of you have remembered your homework..... Its pretty simple and can be as interesting as you wish...
1. Your Duffy Book review. If you have forgotten your review sheet you can create your own.
2. Post something that you have been doing in the holidays on our blog. If you can access a computer, try and record your thoughts about or simply recount something that you have done in the holidays. It could be visiting a family member, playing at a friends, cooking a nice meal for your family.....
Hopefully you have remembered how to post on our blog.
If you cant access a computer, write something down on paper and i will give you time in the first week to publish it online.
All those who complete this will be in for a great surprise in week one!

Mr Theobald

Ps. I hope you are having a great holiday and i wish you and your family a great easter.
